Bitcoin SHA256D


SHA256D is the hash function forming the core of Bitcoin. The function name with 'D' letter implies that call double SHA256.
  • Behind the scene, SHA256D = SHA256(SHA256($string))
  • Usage 1: Tx Hash = SHA256D($serializedTx)
  • Usage 2: Block Hash = SHA256D($serializedBlockHeader)
